Mesa Verde verse

Crabbing my way
through a low stone entry
polished pearly
by 800 years (nearly)
of hands and knees,
I feel simultaneously
part of and dwarfed by

  1. "I feel simultaneously
    part of and dwarfed by

This is an amazing thought and line. I think we are often too disconnected from nature and history. You reconnected to both.

  2. I love Mesa Verde. There's something very spiritual about the site. Love your words "...part of and dwarfed by history."

  3. Brian, I went to Great Falls National Park but I did not have the type of experience that you had at Mesa Verde. Of course the east coast parks are clearly different than the west coast national parks as evidenced by what you wrote. I hope you offer this with a visual to my summer gallery, #SunkissedSummer. You can find the invitation at http://beyondliteracylink.blogspot.com/2017/07/sunkissed-summer-invitation.html.
